About DeLeon Roofing
Halifax's Trusted Roofing Contractor Since 2015
Family-owned and locally operated, DeLeon Roofing has been protecting homes across Halifax and the HRM with certified craftsmanship, honest pricing, and a crew that treats your home like their own.
Our Story
DeLeon Roofing was founded with a simple belief: homeowners in Nova Scotia deserve a roofing contractor they can actually trust. From day one, we've built our business on showing up on time, doing the job right, and standing behind every roof we install.
Over the years we've grown into one of Halifax's most recognized residential roofing companies — not through advertising, but through word of mouth from satisfied homeowners across Dartmouth, Bedford, Sackville, and the wider HRM.
We work exclusively with the industry's top manufacturers — BP, CertainTeed, IKO, GAF, and Euroshield — and hold certifications with each of them. That means every roof we install qualifies for the strongest warranties available, backed by both the manufacturer and our own workmanship guarantee.
Meet the Team
Lloyd DeLeon
Founder & CEO
Raised in Beechville, NS, Lloyd got into roofing in 1975 and has spent over four decades building a reputation for quality craftsmanship throughout the HRM. He's installed thousands of roofs — including most of the peak-roof apartment buildings in Fairview, Clayton Park, Bedford, Cole Harbour, and Dartmouth North — and is widely known for his work on community centres and churches across the region. In 2017 Lloyd was honoured with the Community Award from the Atlantic Better Business Bureau. A devout Christian, he enjoys fishing, dancing, and spending time with his grandchildren when he's not on the job.
Tim King
Lead Roofing Technician
Tim joined the DeLeon team in 2023, originally from Alberta. He came east for the holidays and decided this was exactly where he belonged. With over 10 years of roofing experience, Tim holds certifications to install IKO, GAF, CertainTeed, BP, and Euroshield products. Recently married and a proud new dad to an adventurous baby boy, Tim is also a devout Christian and brings the same dedication to his faith and family that he brings to every roof he installs.
Lisa Coates
Fractional Director of Operations
A third-generation general contractor, Lisa holds a Lean Six Sigma Project Management designation and joined DeLeon Roofing in 2020 as Project Coordinator. As the company's fractional Director of Operations, she serves as the key intermediary between the field and the office — handling all customer inquiries, coordinating materials, take-offs, and accounts payable and receivable, all managed remotely from Springhill, NS. A devout Christian and proud German Shepherd mom, Lisa brings the same care and dedication to her work that she gives to everything she loves.
The entire team at DeLeon Roofing is committed to your peace of mind from the top down.
What Sets Us Apart
Certified by the Best
We hold active certifications with BP, CertainTeed, IKO, GAF, and Euroshield — giving you access to manufacturer warranties that uncertified contractors simply can't offer.
Safety First, Always
Every crew member is NS Construction Safety Association certified. We run a clean, organized job site and follow strict safety protocols on every project.
Honest Estimates
No upsells, no surprises. We assess your roof thoroughly, explain exactly what it needs, and give you a clear written quote before any work begins.
Local Knowledge
Atlantic Canada's climate is tough on roofs. We know what materials and installation methods hold up best against Halifax winters, ice damming, and coastal weather.
Clean Job Sites
We respect your property. Every project ends with a thorough cleanup — including magnetic nail sweeps — so your yard is left the way we found it.
Warranty-Backed Work
Our installations qualify for 50-year manufacturer warranties. We also stand behind our own workmanship, so you're covered from every angle.
Our Certifications & Memberships
Our certifications aren't just badges — they represent ongoing training, quality standards, and the ability to offer you the strongest warranties in the industry.
Proudly Serving Halifax & HRM
We serve homeowners across the entire Halifax Regional Municipality, including Halifax, Dartmouth, Bedford, Sackville, Fall River, Cole Harbour, Eastern Passage, and surrounding communities.
