Is the estimate really free?

Free estimates are available online for homeowners planning a roof replacement or new construction. Simply submit your details and we'll visit your property, assess your roof, and provide a detailed written quote at no charge. Note: standalone roof inspections with a written photo report (for insurance or real estate purposes) are a separate paid service starting at $250 + HST.

How long does it take to get a quote?

We typically respond to estimate requests within one business day. After the on-site assessment, you'll receive your written quote promptly — usually the same day or the next business day.

Do I need to be home for the estimate?

Accepted Answer

It helps if you're available so we can discuss what we find and answer your questions on the spot. However, if you're unable to be there, we can often assess the exterior and follow up with you by phone or email.

What types of roofing do you install?

Accepted Answer

We install architectural asphalt shingles, high-performance steel roofing, and durable rubber (EPDM) roofing. We work with top manufacturers including BP, CertainTeed, IKO, GAF, and Euroshield, giving you access to a wide range of styles, colours, and performance levels.

Do you do repairs, or only full replacements?

We focus on full roof replacements, new construction roofing, skylight installation, and insurance claim work. We do not offer standalone repair services. If your roof has isolated damage, we're happy to assess whether a full replacement makes sense — and give you an honest answer even if the timing isn't right yet.

Do you install skylights?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We are VELUX Certified Installers, which means we're trained and authorized to install VELUX skylights and roof windows to manufacturer standards — and your installation qualifies for VELUX's warranty coverage.

Do you work on flat roofs?

Accepted Answer

Our primary focus is residential sloped roofing. If you have a low-slope or flat section as part of a residential property, contact us and we'll let you know if it falls within our scope.

Question 9

What kind of warranty do I get on a new roof?

Accepted Answer

Because we hold active certifications with our manufacturers, your new roof qualifies for their strongest warranty programs — up to 50 years on select products. These cover both materials and, in many cases, labour. We also stand behind our own workmanship separately.

Why does it matter that you're a certified contractor?

Manufacturer certifications aren't just marketing — they require ongoing training, quality audits, and minimum installation standards. Only certified contractors can offer the top-tier warranty programs. An uncertified installer may use the same shingles, but your warranty coverage will be significantly weaker.

We hold active certifications with BP, CertainTeed, IKO, GAF, and Euroshield, as well as VELUX for skylights. We're also a Nova Scotia Housing Approved Supplier, a member of the NS Home Builders Association, and NS Construction Safety Association certified.

How long does a roof replacement take?

Most residential roof replacements are completed in one to two days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof. We'll give you a realistic timeline when we provide your quote.

What happens to my old roof materials?

Accepted Answer

We remove and dispose of your old roofing materials as part of the job. We also do a thorough cleanup at the end of every project, including a magnetic nail sweep of your yard and driveway.

Do I need to do anything to prepare before the crew arrives?

Accepted Answer

We ask that you clear your driveway so our crew has access and move any vehicles out from under the eaves. Inside, it can help to remove fragile items from shelves near exterior walls, as there can be some vibration during tear-off. We'll remind you of anything specific when we confirm your installation date.

What if it rains during my installation?

Accepted Answer

We monitor the weather closely and schedule installations around it. If conditions change unexpectedly mid-job, we take steps to protect your home — including tarping exposed areas — and reschedule as quickly as possible.

Do you offer financing?

Yes. We offer flexible financing through Financeit, a trusted Canadian lender. You can apply online in minutes and get approved quickly. Options include deferred payment plans so you can protect your home now and pay over time.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cheque, e-transfer, and financing through Financeit. Payment details and schedule will be outlined clearly in your written quote.

Question 18

Can I use my home insurance for a roof replacement?

Accepted Answer

If your roof was damaged by an insured event — such as a storm, hail, or fallen tree — your home insurance may cover part or all of the replacement cost. We can work with you and your insurance adjuster to document the damage and provide the documentation they need.
